The Sacred Contract.

When you accept the invitation into the Papneja Method, you are entering a contract. Not with a company. Not with a teacher. With yourself — and with the Sound Current that has been present in you, waiting for your attention, your entire life.

on the nature of this contract

What you are Entering

Most programs ask for your money and your time. This one asks for something more fundamental than either. It asks for your honest acknowledgment of what you are stepping into — and your willingness to stay honest about it throughout.

The Papneja Method is not a course in the conventional sense. There is no passive consumption. There is no watching videos on the couch and feeling good about it. What is being offered is a direct, structured, supervised encounter with your own consciousness — and with the Sound Current that the entire history of human spiritual tradition has pointed toward under many different names.

The leash gets longer as you awaken.

More territory becomes available to you as the instrument becomes more sensitive — and therefore more weight to what you do with it. The practitioner who has genuinely heard the Sound Current and chooses to ignore it is in a different position than the practitioner who has never heard it. This is not punishment. It is the mathematics of accountability expanding with awareness. You are not being asked to be perfect. You are being asked to understand what you are entering.

The sacred contract is bilateral. Abhishek Papneja’s commitments to you are stated here alongside yours to him. You are not signing a terms of service. You are entering a relationship — one that the tradition holds as among the most significant a human being can enter in a lifetime.

Part I – Your Commitments

What you are
Acknowledging

These are not rules imposed from outside. They are honest acknowledgments of what the work requires — and what the practitioner’s own direct experience will confirm. Each one has a physiological and experiential reason, not a moral one. The Fellowship doctrine page explains the reasoning behind each in full. Here, they are stated plainly.

DAILY PRACTICE

You commit to a daily sitting practice for the duration of the program. The minimum duration and structure will be established in your first session based on your current capacity. This is non-negotiable — it is the entire mechanism by which the method works.

ONE LIVING QUESTION

The practice guidelines exist to serve one question: Is this serving or costing my connection with consciousness and the Sound Current? You commit to asking that question honestly — about what you eat, what you consume, how you spend your energy, and what you give your attention to.

The tradition identifies three domains where this question carries the highest physiological weight. The full reasoning for each is documented on the Fellowship page.

DIET

Lacto-vegetarian. Meat carries the biochemical signature of stress that disrupts what the practice is working to settle. Dairy is permitted. Medical requirements take precedence.

SUBSTANCES.

No alcohol, tobacco, or intoxicants. These suppress the parasympathetic tone the practice requires and generate new impressions rather than dissolving old ones. Prescribed medications are not affected.

CONTINUITY AFTER THE PROGRAM

The twelve weeks are a beginning, not a completion. You commit to understanding this before you enter. The practice established during the program is intended to be lifelong. What you are building is not a skill you acquire and set aside — it is a relationship with your own consciousness that deepens the longer it is sustained.

Part II – Abhishek Papneja’s Commitments

What you will Receive

The Sacred Contract is not one-sided. Abhishek Papneja enters this covenant as the second party — bound by his own commitments to every practitioner who accepts the invitation in good faith.

His commitments are rooted in one principle: unconditional support and carrying. Not conditional on progress. Not conditional on the student being easy to work with. The teacher carries the practitioner through the work — that is the traditional role, and it is the role Abhishek Papneja holds in this covenant.

The full statement of the teacher’s covenant — including each specific commitment and the doctrinal basis for the teacher’s role within the Trinity — is documented on the Fellowship page.

The Three Parties

This contract is not bilateral. It is three-way. The practitioner, the teacher, and the Logos — the Sound Current itself — are each party to every genuine initiation. The teacher’s commitments exist in service of the third party, not as the destination of the practitioner’s attention. The Logos is the destination. The teacher is the carrier.

Part III – Financial Terms

The Financial Agreement

The foundational contribution is $5,000 USD, paid in full at enrollment. This fee covers the complete curriculum, calibration library access, individual calibration sessions with Abhishek Papneja, and direct access between sessions. A limited number of founding practitioners receive additional sessions during the program build period.

All prices in US Dollars (USD).

The guarantee: Complete Module 1 and attend your first calibration session. If after doing both you determine this method is not for you, contact Abhishek Papneja directly. The full fee will be refunded. One conversation. No further conditions.

This guarantee exists because the method delivers — and because a practitioner who is not genuinely committed is not someone the program can serve. The guarantee protects both parties.

After the Module 1 completion and first calibration session, the commitment is confirmed. The fee becomes non-refundable at that point — not as a penalty, but as a reflection of the commitment that has been made on both sides. Abhishek Papneja has invested significant personal time in calibrating your practice. You have received the living transmission work of the first sessions. The contract is now fully entered.

Part IV – Dissolution and Continuity

when the contract Ends

The formal program contract ends after twelve weeks. The relationship it establishes does not.

Practitioners who complete the program and receive the Sound Current invitation enter the Papneja Fellowship as initiated practitioners. They carry the living transmission. The daily practice continues. The relationship with Abhishek Papneja continues — not as a paid engagement, but as the ongoing relationship between a teacher and a committed practitioner that the tradition has always held as sacred.

The only thing that can dissolve the deeper contract — the one made not with Abhishek Papneja but with the Sound Current itself — is abandonment of the practice. And even that is not permanent. The Sound Current does not withdraw. It waits. The practitioner who returns after a period of absence returns to something that was never gone.

A note on what you are actually signing.

When you accept the invitation and complete enrollment, you are signing a formal agreement that covers the program terms, the refund policy, the health and safety disclosures, and the intellectual property terms. That document is a legal instrument and it matters.

But the contract described on this page is the one that matters more. It is the one you make with yourself. No signature makes it binding. Only you do.

The full legal terms of the program are available at  Terms, Privacy and Policies. The Fellowship doctrine and the four practice guidelines are documented in full at The Papneja Fellowship.
