How do I start over when I don't know where to begin? Papneja Method Dr Papneja

Q40. How do I start over when I don’t know where to begin?

The short answer: You begin exactly where you are. Not where you wish you were, not once conditions are better, not after the next thing resolves. Here. Now. With what is actually in front of you. The path does not require a clean starting point. It requires a starting point.

The framework: The preface of the book is the complete answer to this question: it does not matter where you are in your life or what you are doing in it. It does not matter what you have done or what has been done to you. The programmer will still program. The trader will still trade. The person in the middle of the most difficult chapter of their life will still be in the middle of it. Nothing stops. Nothing is required to stop.

The Prarabdha is already in motion. The circumstances you are starting over from are not a mistake — they are the karma executing precisely. The pain, the loss, the collapse that produced the need to start over — these were the curriculum arriving. They were not a deviation from the path. They were the path.

Starting over is a Kriyaman choice made in the middle of Prarabdha. You cannot choose what has already happened. You can choose the quality of presence you bring to what happens next. That choice — consistently made, deepened through the practice — is what changes the trajectory of the Sanchit. Not because one choice dissolves accumulated impressions. Because the direction of the Kriyaman, sustained over time, begins moving the instrument toward the state in which the Sanchit can dissolve.

The “You Are Perfect Exactly As You Are” reading is the theological statement underneath this answer. The door is open. It has always been open. Come as you are. The traditions that demand you arrive already transformed have confused the destination with the starting point. This path meets you where you are. The only requirement is to begin.

The turn: You don’t need to know where you are going. You need to take the first step from wherever you are standing. The path does its own pruning. The practice shows you the next step when you are ready for it. Begin.
